Part 3: Spring Momentum – The "Action" Phase of Your Resolutions
Introduction
We’ve cleared the winter fog (Part 1) and built a sanctuary for deep work (Part 2). Now, as the days grow longer and the first green shoots appear (I know, some already have!), it’s time for the final piece of the puzzle: Physical Momentum.
Late March is when many people finally give up on their goals because the "newness" has worn off. But this is actually the most important time to push through. Today, we are moving aromatherapy off the desk and onto the body, creating a portable spark of energy to carry you through the rest of the spring.
A Quick Safety Note
It’s important to point out a few safety notes in mind and ensure that they are followed mindfully.
Some essential oils such as Rosemary and Eucalyptus are reported to have properties that can trigger those living with Epilepsy, so caution is very important and avoid or speak to your doctor if you are unsure.
Where possible alternative essential oils are suggested for use if you’re unable to use Rosemary, but do NOT risk using any ingredient if you are unsure.
Essential oils must never be used on your skin without being diluted in a carrier oil, and must never be ingested or taken internally. In the event that essential oils get onto your skin, wash off immediately with warm water and your usual soap and monitor for any affects. If in the eyes, rinse a few times with milk and seek medical advice immediately.

If in doubt, Check it out.
The Power of "On-the-Go" Motivation
Motivation isn’t a single setting mentality. It naturally peaks and troughs like glorious, exhausting yo-yo. And sometimes, the hardest part of a resolution isn't the work itself—it's the transition. It’s the moment you have to put down the remote and put on your running shoes, or the moment you pivot from your "day job" to your "passion project."
It’s not just about things like exercise either (despite the example). It’s for whenever you need a little extra boost to help you get through the blockade to your motivation.
By using a Pulse Point Roller, you are applying a concentrated burst of motivation directly to your skin, allowing the warmth of your body to slowly release the scent as you move.
The "Momentum" Trio
For this final stage, we want oils that are warm, spicy, and invigorating—scents that encourage movement and stamina.
Lemongrass (Cymbopogon citratus): A powerhouse of revitalization. Lemongrass is clinically shown to reduce fatigue and provide a "sensory wake-up" that is more intense than standard citrus.
Juniper Berry (Juniperus communis): Historically used for "cleansing," in aromatherapy it is used to break through psychological ruts and stagnant energy. It’s the "fresh start" oil.
Black Pepper (Piper nigrum): A secret weapon for motivation. Its warm, spicy aroma is physically warming and is often used to help with "drive" and perseverance when you feel like quitting.
DIY Project: The "Pulse Point" Motivation Roller
This is a portable, oil-based blend that you can apply to your wrists, temples, or behind the ears whenever you need a boost of "get up and go."
What You’ll Need:
10ml Glass Roller Bottle.
Carrier Oil: Jojoba or Fractionated Coconut oil (these are odourless and soak in quickly).
The "Action" Blend:
3 drops Lemongrass
2 drops Juniper Berry
1 drops Black Pepper
Instructions:
Remove the roller ball from your glass bottle.
Add your essential oils first (this helps them mix better).
Top up the rest of the bottle with your carrier oil, leaving a tiny bit of space at the top.
Firmly press the roller ball back on and shake gently.
How to use it: Apply to your pulse points (wrists and neck) right before you start a task you’ve been dreading. The Black Pepper provides a subtle warmth, while the Lemongrass keeps your mind sharp and ready for action.
Final Thoughts: Bloom Where You Are Planted
March isn't just a month of transition; it’s a month of preparation. By using these sensory tools, you’ve turned a "slump" into a "springboard." You have the clarity, the focus, and now—the momentum.
Go make it happen!
